The Taste of Wainwright is back on Main Street in Wainwright, Alberta on Friday, July 10, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The free-admission event, organized by the Wainwright Downtown Business Community, gives residents a chance to try food and drink from local restaurants and vendors by purchasing sample tickets on site.
What started as a simple way for families to explore the town’s restaurant scene has grown into a much larger celebration. According to Wainwright Liquor & Cold Beer Store, the event now also includes beverage vendors showcasing wine, beer, and coolers, adding an adult-friendly element alongside the family-oriented food sampling.
The Taste of Wainwright features a lively Tasting Patio where visitors can enjoy bites inspired by flavours from around the world and beverages to suit every taste. The event highlights the variety of culinary offerings available in this community of nearly 7,000 residents, located about two hours east of Edmonton.
The Town of Wainwright first announced the date on its official Facebook page in April, and the post quickly drew attention from locals excited for the summer tradition. With over 500 licensed businesses in town, the event shines a spotlight on the downtown core and gives residents a relaxed evening to connect with neighbours while supporting Main Street merchants.
