The Blackfalds RCMP is investigating an armed robbery that took place at a local gas station in Blackfalds, Alberta, on the morning of March 6, 2026. Two masked men entered the business early Friday morning to steal cash and cigarettes before fleeing the area.
Police were called to the Chevron gas station on Vista Trail at approximately 6:49 a.m. after receiving a report about the incident. Investigation showed that two men dressed in heavy winter clothing and leather work gloves entered the store to carry out the robbery.
One of the suspects was seen carrying what appeared to be a handgun during the crime. Despite the presence of a weapon, no injuries were reported by the staff members or customers who were inside the store at the time.
After taking the items, the suspects left the scene on foot and headed toward Vista Trail. Investigators believe the men likely got into a vehicle to leave the neighbourhood shortly after the robbery occurred.
Local police are asking residents and business owners nearby to look at their security, dashcam or doorbell camera footage for any unusual activity from that morning. Anyone who has information about the suspects or the vehicle is asked to contact the authorities to help with the ongoing investigation.
