Families in Blackfalds can prepare for summer activities as the Abbey Centre prepares to open registration for its popular summer programs on May 1, 2026. Residents will be able to sign up for both swim lessons and the Camp Curious day camp program starting on that date.
Camp Curious is designed for children ages 3 to 11, with the program split into three age groups: 3-5, 6-7, and 8-11. Each week of the camp features different themes and a scheduled field trip to keep children engaged throughout the season.
Beyond the upcoming summer programs, the facility has services ready for use now. Child minding is available for members and day pass holders, providing care for children between 3 months and 10 years of age. Additionally, the centre offers a budget-friendly option for those looking to stay active, with $2 admission for full-day access to the 152m indoor track located on the third floor.
Those looking to cool off soon can also plan for the seasonal return of the outdoor aquatic centre, which is set to reopen on May 15, 2026.
