Police in Blackfalds and Red Deer teamed up on April 10, 2026, to recover a stolen dirt bike and arrest four individuals on outstanding warrants. The joint operation focused on the Gasoline Alley commercial area, a busy hub south of Red Deer where officers identified a suspicious vehicle that led them to the missing bike, which had been stolen back in August 2025.
The RCMP units involved included the specialized team that first spotted the vehicle, as well as the Blackfalds RCMP and their investigative section. These officers assisted in the operation by stopping a second vehicle and conducting further arrests.
Among those taken into custody was 45-year-old Adam Webb of Red Deer County, who faces a charge of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. Three other individuals, ranging in age from 40 to 64, were also arrested for outstanding warrants during the incident.
Gasoline Alley has historically been a focus for property crime, and this recent effort highlights ongoing cooperation between local detachments to address those concerns. According to police, their broader provincial crime reduction efforts have seen property crime rates drop by 13 percent compared to 2024, with data from early 2026 showing continued improvement.
