The Town of Claresholm’s Tuesday Market in the Park is back for another summer season, kicking off today, June 16, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Amundsen Park gazebo. The market, which started in 2025, brings together local vendors, live entertainment, and community fun each week. Residents are invited to bring lawn chairs, browse the stalls, and enjoy an afternoon of shopping and music.
This season opens with a range of vendors offering meat, fresh eggs, homemade baking, vegetables, jewelry, art, and concessions. A pop-up from Lost Things Distillery of Pincher Creek will offer tastings and bottle sales of their award-winning artisan gin. The distillery earned gold, silver, and bronze medals at the 2025 Canadian Artisan Spirit Competition.
Entertainment runs throughout the market hours. From 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., there will be live music and an open mic, followed by karaoke from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. hosted by Such Drama. The market gives residents a chance to support local producers and crafters while enjoying a lively midweek break.
For vendors, the fees are $20 for adults and $5 for children, with the money helping to keep the annual Claresholm Fair Days free for everyone. Fair Days is a three-day celebration each August featuring a parade, outdoor entertainment, a bench show, markets, BBQs, pancake breakfasts, and a car Show N Shine. Megan McClung, Engagement Coordinator with the Town of Claresholm’s economic development department, helped launch the Tuesday market to bring more visitors to town and boost local support.
Claresholm also hosts a Wednesday Farmers Market approved by the Alberta Farmers’ Market Association, but the Tuesday market adds an extra chance to shop and connect midweek. The market can fit up to 70 vendors and had about 26 registered at its launch last year, with products like fresh bread, handmade beadwork, and paintings.
