The Beauhead Arts Festival is returning to Beausejour, Manitoba, for its 6th annual event on August 21 and 22, 2026. Held at the historic Pioneer Village Museum, the festival invites residents to view and purchase work from three featured regional artists.
This year’s lineup includes watercolour artist Autumn Robbie-Draward, who finds inspiration in the nearby Brokenhead River, and self-taught mixed media painter Haily Hildebrand, who works with watercolour, acrylic, and oil. They will be joined by potter Pat Shandroski, a specialist in functional stoneware who has been crafting ceramics since 2006. For Hildebrand, who began her artistic journey in 2021 as a way to heal from personal loss, the festival serves as a platform to share her creative work with the community.
Organized by a not-for-profit volunteer board, the festival has provided a space for local artists to showcase their work since it first began in 2018. The event will take place on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The organizing committee is also currently accepting applications from emerging artists who wish to participate in the event.
The festival grounds at the museum, which is owned by the Broken-Beau Historical Society, offer a unique setting that recreates a rural Manitoba community from the early 1900s. Residents can find more information about the event and the artist application process on the festival’s website.
