Blackfalds residents can mark Canada’s birthday at the Tayles Water Spray Park on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. The Town of Blackfalds is hosting a free family celebration from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the park, located at 5018 Waghorn Street.
The afternoon event is a chance for the growing community to gather and enjoy the national holiday together. While the town has not yet shared all the details for 2026, past Canada Day parties at the spray park have included DJ music, face painting, glitter tattoos, free cupcakes, and giveaways.
The Tayles Water Spray Park is a popular spot for families, with its pirate ship-themed playground, water spray features, picnic tables, and a gazebo. The park is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. through Labour Day, so families can make a full day of it.
Blackfalds, located about 13.5 kilometres north of Red Deer along Highway 2-A, has seen its population climb to over 12,000 in recent years. With an average resident age of just 31.7, the town’s young families make events like Canada Day a natural fit.
