Families in Blackfalds, Alberta can look forward to some high-flying action at the fourth annual Jump Jam on Saturday, August 15, 2026. The free event runs from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Town of Blackfalds’ Parallax Energy Bike Skills Park, offering an afternoon of BMX and mountain bike freestyle competitions.
The day kicks off with participant registration at 11:00 AM right at the bike park. Anyone can join, as there are no pre-qualification requirements. The Alberta Action Sports Association hosts the event and encourages riders of all ages and skill levels to come out.
Spectators can watch for free while competitors take on the Big Air Contest between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Hands Up Entertainment will perform their Full Send Air Show at noon, 2:30 PM, and again at 4:00 PM, adding to the entertainment.
The Jump Jam has grown since it started in 2023, becoming a staple of the town’s summer calendar. It is part of the 2026 Spring/Summer Program & Activity Guide offered through the Abbey Centre. For more information, visit blackfalds.ca/events.
The bike skills park itself got a new name after Parallax Energy bought former sponsor Vesta Energy in late 2024. The facility remains one of the top municipal bike parks in Alberta, with features for every level of rider.
